“Any citizen of the Republic of Lithuania who is not bound by an oath or a pledge to a foreign state, and who, on the election day, is not younger than 21 years of age and permanently resides in Lithuania, may stand for election as a Member of the Seimas. Persons who have not served punishment imposed by a court judgment, as well as persons declared by a court to be legally incapacitated, may not stand for election as a Member of the Seimas.”
A citizen of the Republic of Lithuania who is not bound by an oath or pledge to a foreign state, is at least 21 years old on election day and permanently resides in Lithuania may stand for election to the Seimas. Persons who have not served a court-imposed punishment and persons declared legally incapacitated by a court may not stand.
A 22-year-old citizen living in Lithuania may run for the Seimas, while a person who has sworn an oath to another state may not.
